Knox College Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with the Habitat for Humanity Affiliate in Knox County to provide homes for low-income families. Homes are built entirely by volunteers and are provided to selected families through a no-interest loan.

The group works each Sunday morning in Galesburg to help the Knox County affiliate. On campus, Habitat plans educational events and fundraisers to help support the annual Collegiate Challenge trip, which takes place during spring break. Each member of the Knox chapter of Habitat for Humanity can attest to developing a sense of fulfillment and reward after participating in the various activities that take place each year and leaving with a new sense of humility and gratitude.
